Thursday 7 February 22 at 9:30 p.m., at the Utopia cinema in Luxembourg City, we'll see the movie Latch, the permanent revolt (2007), directed by Lluís Danès. The documentary narrates the events of Vitoria in March 1976 (the murder of workers' representatives by the police) and the return of Llach to this city thirty years later. This is a look at the life of the great Catalan singer-songwriter and some key events of the transition to democracy.

Argument: He 3 March 1976, in Vitoria, on the occasion of a workers' meeting, the police intervention leaves five dead and more than a hundred wounded by bullets. that night, Lluís Llach composed what would become one of the most emblematic songs of this period of repression “Death bells”. Thirty years later, he 2006, Llach visits Vitoria to sing the song in a concert organized in memory of the victims of the 3 March. A journey through space and time guided by the music and lyrics of Llach where the memories of the singer-songwriter and the testimonies of the protagonists of the events are mixed. It's the story of a song, the portrait of the composer and the chronicle of the events that inspired it. A call to the permanent revolt against oblivion.
