The weekend of 1 and 2 of August Luxembourg hosted the 22nd edition of the International Gathering of the Sardana and Folkloric Group Show, who was visiting the capital of the Grand Duchy for the second time. We thank Adifolk the honor and the enormous organizational effort to bring all the colors of Catalan popular culture to our city.

On behalf of the CCL, the assessment has been very positive. The show offered by all the dances, dancers and artists (professionals o no) he had a huge level. The Luxembourgers followed all the activities closely, despite some reservations about joining the party.
D'band, emotional moments with castles, with the sardines (a piece was even premiered: “As 10.000 in Brussel.les”) and with the choral singing concert shared by Catalans and Luxembourgers: the Luxembourg choir singing in Catalan and the Catalan choir playing the Luxembourg anthem. On the other, moments of revelry with the parade (that took many people to the streets), with the correfoc or the havaneras. without forgetting, of couse, the magnificent displays of each and every one of the dances. And at all times an excellent atmosphere. As if that wasn't enough, time accompanied (except for a shower on Sunday).
A weekend to feel proud of Catalonia and Luxembourg, of popular culture and civilization.
