The Spanish Embassy in Luxembourg is organizing the fair for the first time this year Made in Spain. It is a tourist-commercial fair that aims to introduce Spanish tourist products and destinations to Luxembourgers (and residents in the country). The fair starts on Friday 6 November at two in the afternoon and ends on Sunday 8 at eight o'clock. The place chosen for the event is quite a classic: the LuxExpo building (free entry). We advise you to visit this fair not only because you can win a trip to Malaga for two people, but also because the Catalan Center will have a stall selling books in Catalan, where you can take the opportunity to fill those spaces that you lack in your home library.
On the other band, the Made in Spain will culminate with a very interesting cultural event: the concert of the Francesc Marco Quartet in the abbey of Neumünster. This concert will take place on Monday 9 Nov. 10 at the Robert Krieps Hall at 8 p.m.. The entrance fee is 15 euros (you can purchase them at Luxembourg-Ticket) it 12 euros for members.
The Quartet is formed by Francesc Marco (piano), Jiři Slavik (double bass), Fred Thomas (percussion) i Zac Gvirtzman (saxophone and clarinet). Born in Tarragona on 1986, Marco studied music at the Luxembourg Conservatoire and completed his musical studies at the Royal Academy of Music in London. He currently lives in the English capital where he participates in several musical projects, among them, the Francesc Marco Quartet that we will have the opportunity to hear in Luxembourg.
This ensemble will play jazz, obviously, but also other rhythms: brazilian music, funk, klezmer, cuban music, Eastern European music… a great variety to honor the diverse origins of the members of the quartet.
More information on this event can be found in an article on the 352 magazine.
