Wednesday 2 June, at 14.15 hours, the University of Saarbrücken has organized an interesting conference on Northern Catalonia. Professor Michel Leiberich from the University of Perpignan will present his speech entitled "Northern Catalonia – “Be clean, speak French”: France and linguistic diversity».
Professor Leiberich holds a PhD in Germanic Studies from the University of Paris VIII, member of the Catalan Institute for Research in Social Sciences and «Maître de Conférence» at the University of Perpignan. He has published numerous works and articles on identity, historical memory, concentration camps and the Catalan language.
This conference is an activity of the Department of Romance Philology, with the collaboration of the Catalan Readership, from this German University. It will take place in building C 5.2, HS 415.
