30 March: lecture by Ramon Tremosa

This year 2011 is presented as an important year for Catalan and Spanish politics. To discuss this, the Catalan Center of Luxembourg started a cycle of debates last year where representatives of political formations present their points of view on the current situation. as you know, we had Oriol Junqueras (ERC) and Manel Bargalló (RCat) in the month of November.

We are therefore pleased to invite you to the third conference of this cycle with Ramon Tremosa, member of the European Parliament for Convergence and Union. Full Professor at the Department of Economic Theory at the University of Barcelona. Interested in regional economy and monetary policy, he has published several articles in both national and international academic journals. He is the author of several books that talk about Catalan economic policy. They stand out Catalonia, An Emerging Economy (2010), Catalonia, emerging country (2008), Catalonia will be logistics or it won't be (2007), statute, airports and fishing ports in the cove (2006) and Statute of Catalonia, truths versus lies (2005). He is co-author of Fiscal plunder. A premeditated asphyxiation (2004), Public policies: a renewed vision (2004) and Competitiveness of the Catalan economy on the horizon 2010: Macroeconomic effects of the fiscal deficit with the Spanish State (2003).

The conference will be held on Wednesday 30 March 2011 at 19.15 hours in the conference room of the Catalan Center in Luxembourg (88, Rue de la Semois, Luxembourg Ville) and will be followed by a dinner-discussion from 21.30 hours.
