The proper 15 October commemorate 75 years of the execution of the President of the Generalitat Lluís Companys (1882-1940). Taking advantage of the event, we will show the movie 13 dies d'octubre as a tribute to the shot President. this work, produced by Lastor Media, Batabat and Television of Catalonia (who have kindly provided a copy for the occasion), and directed by Carlos Marques-Marcet, narrates the last days of Companys in the prison of the Castle of Montjuïc. The action focuses on the tension between Companies (performed by Carles Martínez) and the lawyer trying to defend him, Ramon de Colubí (Oscar Muñoz), on the one hand, and the Franco regime, the other, who tried to avoid making him a martyr.
The screening will take place at the venue (88, Rue de la Semois; L-2533 Luxembourg City) from the 19.30 hours. Free entrance.
