Since the 23 it's Wednesday and part of the Center's management is traveling to Tarragona for the world meeting of Catalan houses, this year we will celebrate one of the most traditional festivals in Catalonia a few days in advance, St. George's Day, Day of the book and the rose, declared International Book and Copyright Day by UNESCO.
Friday 18 d’abril, from three in the afternoon until eight in the evening, you will find the Center Català bookstore in the Chez Rafael restaurant (the usual meeting place on this day). 
This is a good opportunity to acquire the latest news, complete the library of classics and find the gift for your partner. You will find a wide range of novelties in Spanish literature, Latin American and Catalan, per a infants i per a adults, in addition to a wide range of books with a 50% of discount. True to our style, we will give away a rose to all buyers and shoppers (we believe in gender equality).
That same evening, from the 20.30, We will transform the Chez Rafael restaurant (Paris square, Luxembourg Ville) in a unique café-concert. Our traditional dinner menu will consist of several classic tapas (bread with tomato and ham, croquettes, meatballs, empanada, paella lid, others) and vegetarian tapas (vegetable grill, potato omelette, patates braves, faves). For those who ask, the restaurant can also serve salads.
Pel que fa al musical menu, for this evening we will have the musical performance of the group ENTREDOS, composed by two magnificent guitarists, Elisabeth Roma and Víctor Valls. This ensemble will present his creation MARALAVISTA with poems by Josep Piera and songs, others, by Joan Manuel Serrat, Pep Sala, Astor Piazzolla and Antonio Carlos Jobim.
