Alghero singer Franca Masu returns to Luxembourg. Following the great success of his performance at Neumünster Abbey last year 2004, we all agreed (musician, organizers and, especially, public) that she had to be invited again. It has cost, but we have succeeded.
This year, in addition, the concert will present a new work by the artist, acquamare. This unique record, the third in Catalan of his career, contains a series of excellent songs, almost all the work of Masu himself. After d’Alchemy i d’My journey, exclusively in Catalan, acquamare includes songs in Italian and Spanish, in addition to sounds close to tango and fado.
Franca Masu is accompanied by Fausto Beccalossi on accordion, Alessandro Girotto at the guitarra, Salvatore Maltana on double bass and Roger Soler on percussion. Masu is the most representative international artist of Catalan culture in Alghero. Passionate about jazz, this portentous but sweet voice achieves a very Mediterranean sound that enchants the spectators without remedy.
