Wednesday 2 February, the Kulturfabrik has organized a second edition of the “Towards glass” dedicated to Catalonia. This year the recital will take place in the Municipal Library of Esch-sur-Alzette from eight in the evening (20h00). Entry is free and entitles you to a small refreshment offered by the Catalan Center of Luxembourg: bread with tomato, sausages, cheeses and local wine.
The poets invited for the session of 2 of February are Jaume Pont and Jordi Virallonga. We will also have the musical interludes of guitarist Miguel Ruiz, who will play pieces by two Catalan composers, Albéniz i Granados.
J. Pont is a poet, literary critic and professor at the University of Lleida. published: limit(s), The veils of the eclipse, barbarian garden, Divan, random reason. Poetry 1976-1989, Flight of ashes, Border Book and nowhere. It has been translated into French and has won the Octubre awards, Serra d’Or (on two occasions), National Criticism and Carles Riba.
J. Virallonga is also a university professor, in this case from the University of Barcelona, in addition to columnist, essayist, editor and translator. One of its main activities is the dissemination of poetry, own and others. It has been translated into several languages and has received the Ciudad de Irún awards, Alfonso the Magnanimous and Villa de Aoiz, in addition to the translation Giovanni Pontiero. As a poetic author, has published: Saberte, Perimeter of a day, The profile of the peaceful, Chronicles of usury, The Turin Poems, Take the day home. His latest work is Everything seems to indicate.
