12 November: concert by Lídia Pujol

friday day 12 November at eight in the evening, the catalan singer-songwriter Lídia Pujol will present his show Lovers of Lilith the Neumünster Abbey in Luxembourg City. This is the second work of this great artist that we will have the privilege of listening to in Luxembourg.

Although she is also an actress, Lídia Pujol is known in Catalonia mainly for her music. Lídia PujolHe owes it to his magnificent voice and carefully produced records. It started with a short-lived and high-quality duet with Sílvia Comes. Other collaborations include big names from the Catalan scene such as Sopa de Cabra and Lluís Llach. Outside of Catalonia, he has had no shortage of interesting colleagues either: from the Basque Kepa Junkera to the Portuguese Dulce Pontes; de Brian Dunning (by Nightnoise) a Jackson Browne. His work with the singer Mayte Martín also stands out.

In his first album, Yes, he set music to poems by Lorca and Jacques Prévert, with one bonus track d’Albert Pla. This work contained, in addition, curiosities such as a traditional Yiddish song and an Irish song… in Irish.

While maturing new projects, Lídia Pujol will present her second work in Luxembourg: Lovers of Lilith. This elaborate piece includes traditional songs that revolve around the female figure. Lilith's myth, hebrew, provides a disk read key. The mite explains that Lilith was Adam's first lady, created with mud, just like him but who was finally expelled from paradise because of her active sexuality. Four excellent musicians will accompany Pujol: Pau Figueres, hosts a concert by Maria del Mar Bonet, Miquel Àngel Cordero and Aleix Tobias.

The Catalan Center counts, for this concert, with the collaboration of Neumünster Cultural Meeting Center. Remember that tickets are already on sale at Luxembourg-Ticket.
