This year, for the first time since its foundation (october 1987), Center Catalan Luxembourg (CCL) will have its own social premises. This space is in the number 88, Rue de la Semois (L-2533 Luxemburg). Here is a link to Google Maps to locate it geographically:
Having a physical headquarters will allow new activities to be organized: small format concerts, exhibitions, conferences on current political and cultural issues, activities for young people, children's activities, reading circle, courses, etc. and it also allows us to have a permanent library with all the publishing funds that throughout the 24 years of existence of the CCL we have been receiving.
But as has always been the spirit of the CCL, The venue will not be for the exclusive use of the CCL but we want to open it up to other associative and/or cultural initiatives in Luxembourg, as well as all the ideas that the partners want to propose to us. If you have ideas, don't hesitate to send them to us.
The inauguration, to which all members of the CCL are cordially invited, will be held on Thursday 24 in March 19.00 hours.
Will, in fact, the launch of a week of activities at the Catalan Center where we want to be, once again, give projection to Catalan culture in Luxembourg. We therefore invite you to share with us in the days following the inauguration of the CCL headquarters: he opening of the exhibition on Ramon Llull at the Cultural Center of the Abbey of Neumünster (the day 25), a lecture by Josep Sempera from the Palau i Fabre Foundation (which will be the first conference in the new venue on the day 26), Calçotada (at the local Belair scouts on the day 27), the conference of MEP Ramon Tremosa (at the new location on the day 30) and, to close this week of activities, a poetry festival that will be held in the new premises with a book stall on Friday 1 of April with the presence of the great Catalan poet Narcís Comadira. he is, in addition, the guest of the CCL for the Spring of Poets which starts on Friday 1 of April and you will have the opportunity to listen to it on Saturday 2 the Neumünster Abbey (from seven in the evening) and Sunday 3 at the Galeria Simoncini (from eleven in the morning).
It is about showing once again our desire to share our culture with everyone and to also show our desire to make our association, and now his place, in a space of encounter between Catalan and Luxembourgish cultures.
We would very much like you to join us on such an important occasion for the Catalan Center of Luxembourg. Please confirm your attendance at the opening ceremony of the new CCL premises by email to the usual address or by phone at 691 425565.
