On Thursday 14 in April we will celebrate, nine days in advance, Book and Rose Day. Remember that UNESCO has declared Sant Jordi, the real one, he 23 d'able, International Book and Copyright Day. The Catalan Center of Luxembourg wants to invite everyone to celebrate, also in Luxembourg, this day. And to do it, nothing better than a stop where you can buy the latest novelties of books in Spanish and Catalan, in addition to translations by Catalan authors into German and French.
The book sale will take place on Thursday 14 d'April 2011, of the 16.00 at 20.00 Center hours local Catalan Luxembourg (88 Rue de la Semois, L-2533 Luxembourg City). You can count on a wide range of novelties from Spanish literature, Latin American and Catalan, per infants i per adults. We also have some books on offer with one 50% of discount.
All book buyers will receive, as a gift, a rose. Besides, they will have the opportunity to order copies of the photos of the last CCL events (opening of the premises, vernissage of the exhibition by Jean-Jacques Laigre and lecture by Josep Sampera).
As usual, the book sale activity will culminate with a special event. Other years we have had concerts, sopars and poetry recitals. This year, to add some variety, the opening of the exhibition of monotypes by Sílvia Martínez Palou will take place. From the 20.00, always at the CCL location, we will have the presence of the artist, who will present his work and give us an introduction to this engraving technique.
