Wednesday 3 May, the Kulturfabrik and the Catalan Center organize the third edition of the "Towards glass» dedicated to Catalonia. Like the first time, the recital will take place in the Ratelach Room of this cultural center in Esch-sur-Alzette from eight in the evening (20h00). Entry is free and entitles you to a small refreshment offered by the Catalan Center of Luxembourg: bread with tomato, Ham, whip, cheese and local wine.
The poets invited for this session are the two from the previous edition, Jaume Pont and Jordi Virallonga, which they repeat because an untimely snowfall left them almost alone, in addition to Josep Maria Sala-Valldaura. We will also be able to enjoy the jazz interludes of two well-known musicians among CCL members and followers: Francesc Marco (piano) i Use Slavic (various instruments).
Jaume Pont is a poet, literary critic and professor at the University of Lleida. published: limit(s), The veils of the eclipse, barbarian garden, Divan, random reason. Poetry 1976-1989, Flight of ashes, Border Book and nowhere. It has been translated into French and has won the Octubre awards, Serra d’Or (on two occasions), National Criticism and Carles Riba.
Jordi Virallonga is a professor at the University of Barcelona, in addition to columnist, essayist, editor and translator. One of its main activities is the dissemination of poetry, own and others. It has been translated into several languages and has received the Ciudad de Irún awards, Alfonso the Magnanimous and Villa de Aoiz, in addition to the translation Giovanni Pontiero. As a poetic author, has published: Saberte, Perimeter of a day, The profile of the peaceful, Chronicles of usury, The Turin Poems, Take the day home and Everything seems to indicate.
Josep Maria Sala-Valldaura is also a professor at the University of Lleida. With the poet, is the author of a dozen titles, among them, In this dice of fire and Heart disease. On the other band, has published collections of poems for children (train of words and costumes) i assaigs. His verses have been translated into several languages. His side as a scholar of poetry and literature in general also stands out. Regarding prizes, it has the Serra d'Or, the Jackdaw Martorell and the Green Horse.
