The Catalan Center of Luxembourg invites you to make your registration on the electoral lists effective in order to participate in the municipal elections of 9 d'octubre 2011.
Luxembourg Tea, on the first of June 2011, 511.840 habitants, of which the 43,2 % they do not have Luxembourgish nationality. In the municipal elections of 2005, only the 10 % of the non-Luxemburgers registered as voters and only 1.2 % of the councilors (community councillors) chosen were non-Luxembourgish.
It is important that in the next municipal elections, provided by 9 october 2011, the maximum number of non-Luxembourgish residents participate in the municipal elections and that, as residents of the country, we actively participate in the political life of our municipality.
We have the possibility to vote and it is important that we use this right!
We can be active protagonists in the life of our municipality by choosing the people to whom we delegate the representation of our interests. We can influence the priorities defined in each Conseil Communal in the management of our municipality. The right to vote is a constitutional right. It is the fundamental form of participation in social life, economic, political and cultural of our municipality of residence.
Register on the electoral rolls:
- If you consider well-being important in your municipality of residence
- If you believe that social cohesion is a value to preserve
- If you think that the opinion of non-Luxembourgish citizens should be heard more and taken into account in the political debate
- If you feel affected by how income and expenditure priorities are determined in your municipality of residence
If this is your case, feel free to register to vote for the next one 9 d'October 2011. Don't let others decide for you!
