Catalan Luxembourg Centre invites you to the screening of the documentary Macià against Companys, directed by Manuel Huerga and starring Fermí Reixach, Felix Pons, Kai Puig, Julio Manrique, Joan Massotkleiner, Eduard Fernández, Miquel García Borda and Paula Vives. The script is the work of the television Toni Soler, who is also a historian. It will be Saturday 14 abril of them 18.00 hours, the local Catalan Luxembourg Centre (88, Rue de la Semois, Luxembourg Ville). Free entrance.
This Saturday marks the 81st anniversary of the proclamation of the Second Republic and the CCL wants to help remember that exceptional historical moment with the screening of a documentary that reflects the experiences and contradictions of that time in Catalonia. Macià against Companys is a fiction disguised as a documentary or a report with fictional elements thanks to which the protagonists of the events speak about them in the first person, in a very realistic way, in front of a stationary camera, as if television and the documentary genre had existed in the 1930s.
