The following weekend will be very active for the Catalan Centre, as it could not be less now that Sant Jordi is approaching, the 25th anniversary of this association. D'band, participate, every year, in the Spring of Poets. On the other, we will present our library i, finally, we have thought of a children's activity inspired by Sant Jordi.
He Spring of Poets is a manifestation that was born in France more than twenty years ago and that, in more recent times, has arrived in Luxembourg. It convenes poets from all over the world for a weekend in order to bring poetry to the general public. The Catalan Center of Luxembourg has participated since the first edition in the Grand Duchy. This year we will have the participation of the poet Àlex Susanna. You will have the opportunity to listen to him on Saturday a Neumünster Abbey on two occasions. The first, alone: from the 18 hours, in an activity that will serve to present the Elisenda Franquesa library called "Biblioteca – A word, four libraries » (in collaboration with the Eugenio Curiel Library, the Antonio Machado Circle, the Ermesinde Library, the Library of the Association of Portuguese Parents of Ettelbruck, the Italian Cultural Institute and the National Library of Luxemburg). The second, with all the guest poets, from the 20.00, in the traditional “Grande Nuit de la Poésie”.
Spring activities (here you have it full program) also include a recital at the Culture factory of Esch-sur-Alzette on Friday 20 from the 19 hours, the “Spring of Spring” debate (Saturday 17 hores of Neumünster) and the morning of poetry (Sunday, 11 hours to the Simoncini gallery).
Wednesday 22, at four in the afternoon, local CCL (88, Rue de la Semois) we will open a workshop for the little ones. We will teach them how to make roses and dragons, so that they are ready for Sant Jordi. Once the job is done, we will celebrate a good snack. And Monday 23, don't forget it, Sant Jordi's dinner will take place. Before that we will open our traditional book stall and roses, after, we will award the prize to the winner of the "Sant Jordi a mil" literary contest.
