The Italian Cultural Institute at the Català Center in Luxemburg holds the opportunity to invite you to a reading of Catalan and Italian poetry. The poetic event will take place on Thursday 21 February, at 19.15, al Science Building (fuck BS-003) from the University of Luxembourg (Campus Limpertsberg). The selection of poems and authors seeks to illustrate how some topics have been treated on both shores of the Mediterranean. The readings will be in the original language, to allow the public to appreciate the similarities between these two languages.
By Catalan, we will hear poems by Salvador Espriu (a way to contribute to the Year of Espriu, which is celebrated this year), Gabriel Ferrater, Maria Mercè Marçal and Pere Quart. For the Italian part, we will listen to Eugenio Montale, Umberto Saba, Giorgio Caproni and Patrizia Cavalli. Attendees will receive the texts, to help them continue reading.
