day 22 and 23 of April we will celebrate St. George at the Catalan Center in Luxembourg. to begin with, Monday, from the 19.30, we stayed for dinner at the CCL premises (88, Rue de la Semois; Luxembourg Ville). The dinner will have two literary activities to enliven it: a poetry recital and the award ceremony of the "Sant Jordi a Mil" literary contest (second edition).
The recital will consist of readings by three poets from all over the Catalan-speaking countries who are celebrating an anniversary this year: Salvador Espriu (Catalan, 100 years of his birth), Vicent Andrés Estellés (Valencian, 20 years of his death) and Marià Villangómez (Ibizan, 100 years of his birth). The awarding of prizes (a set of books) it will be a simpler act.
Dimats 23, St. George's Day, we will open the stall of books and roses in the premises of the Catalan Center from four o'clock in the afternoon. You can find the latest news (Catalan and Spanish) and part of the bibliographic fund of the CCL with a very interesting price (fins al 50% of discount). All shoppers will receive a rose. The stall will close at eight in the evening.
Once the stall is closed, maybe we'll go see the first leg of the semi-final of the Champions League.
