Conclusions de l'Assemblea General Extraordinària

The Extraordinary General Assembly Center Catalan Luxembourg, held Monday 20 d'octubre, was the scene of a lively discussion. The CCL Board thanks everyone who attended. As a result of this Assembly, the following decisions were taken:

  • It was considered that it was not relevant to put the first item on the agenda to a vote, given the changes experienced by the call for the Consultation of 9 November.
  • The Catalan Center of Luxembourg will report on the so-called "participatory process", in a neutral way, as it does in all electoral calls.
  • It was approved by a large majority (no vote against and one abstention) the accession of the Catalan Center of Luxembourg to National Covenant for the Right to Decide.

According to its statutes, the CCL is an apolitical and non-partisan entity that cannot be a platform for disseminating any type of concrete political proposals. Traditionally, the CCL has only adopted positions on issues related to Spanish politics, Catalan, Valencian or Luxembourgish when it has understood that fundamental democratic values could be injured.
In the current case, the majority of CCL members present at the Assembly considered it appropriate, given the exceptional circumstances in Catalonia and Spain, to support a democratic resolution of the conflict that is being experienced in Catalonia without this implying any kind of support for a specific solution.
