Formiga and Cigale (Anna Amigó and Eva Genniaux) are found the 2010 in Brussel.les. The need to share and make music led them to work together and thus begin to arrange traditional songs and adapt them to their personal style. With their origins in France and Catalonia, this duo established in Belgium consists of a Celtic harp and a violin ready to break stereotypes. The whole thing turns out to be an explosion of sounds and exploration of modern elements, classics and folk music. Their voices are an added point to the scene, where they intersect with each other mixing in a compact and sublime way.

Formiga and Cigale they turn the stage into a space full of glamour, fun and music. With a wide and rich repertoire of traditional songs from different European countries, they tell the public about their adventures across the continent. Troubadours of today, they adapt and arrange the different pieces and come to create a unique style that, of 2016, it can also be seen in his own compositions. The wide variety of instruments that appear on stage and the multiple languages of the songs make the show unique and surprising to all audiences. Songs that explain heartbreaks, others that remember wars, others just music that takes the listener to another world… The ideal combination to spend a good time and disconnect from the real world. Suitable for all audiences. In recent years they have touched us in different countries such as Scotland, France, Belgium and Catalonia and participated in different music festivals such as Les Anthinoises, (Belgium) or to concert cycles for young talents such as ―Lifting the Vol, organized by the IMET of Tarragona.

L’any 2012 they released their first EP Made in Brux which collects a small sample of his work in the beginnings of the group. This 2016 they record a new album which includes traditional pieces from all over the world and their own compositions.
