We inaugurate a new course and we thought that the best way to do this is by taking the evenings Film Center Catalan Luxembourg (88, Rue de la Semois; Luxembourg ville). We want to start with a film that could become a good topic of discussion for high school teachers and students.
We invite, then, Thursday 4 octubre of them 19.30, at the screening of the film Inherit the Wind ("The legacy of the wind"), dirigida per Stanley Kramer l’any 1960, with Spencer Tracy, Fredric March i Gene Kelly.
The conflicting theories of Darwinism and creationism are the two opposite poles facing an explosive battle of beliefs lawyer Henry Drummond (Tracy) i ultraconservative Matthew Harrison Brady leader (March). All this happens in a small Tennessee town where they judge a teacher to teach the theory of evolution to his students.
