Cello and piano concert with Ariadne and Eugenia Guri Chmelik

Wednesday 30 November has 19 hours, al local, we present a recital of classical music with a pair of Catalan artists of international renown. Ariadne is the cellist and pianist Eugenia Guri Chmelik. The program is as follows:

Chmelik and Ariadna Lluís

Born into a family of musicians multicultural. Combining career and chamber solístico, currently studying a Masters degree in interpretation at the Conservatory of Maastricht (Holland) in the class of Gustav Rivinius. At the age of 10 Sun takes the Gabetti years as a student. Two years later he began to take lessons by Ivan Monighetti Basel (Swiss). L’any 2017 finished his studies in the Bachelor Musik-Akademie der Stadt Basel in the class of Ivan Monighetti Gabetti and Sun. Al 2018 form part of the School of Excellence of the Musikhochschule Basel.

Solístico makes his debut at the age of eleven, since then plays regularly as a soloist both in Catalonia and in Switzerland. Fiona was three times winner of Jeunesses Musicales Switzerland (editions 2012, 2014 and 2016) award-winning and also the 3rd prize at the International Cello Competition in Liezen, Austria.

It was granted a scholarship by the Government of Catalonia and plays a cello Bernardelli year 1898 generously donated by the Swiss Foundation Tharice.

Eugenia Guri

He is currently pursuing a Master's degree at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels with Professor Boyan Vodenitcharov. He graduated in 2017 the Catalonia College of Music (ESMUC) with Professor Vladislav Bronevetzky, and earned him a Master of Advanced Studies in Interpretation in 2018. He began studying piano at 6 years with professor Carme Cesena, would continue after the teacher Sebastian Colombo.

He has received several awards throughout Catalonia as a soloist with various chamber ensembles, per example, 1st prize at the XXI podium Chamber Music Competition and the 42th Young Artists Piano of Catalonia Vilafranca.

In the field of chamber, studied mainly with the Quartet Casals and Kennedy Moretti. He has worked in various formations duo, trio, piano quartet and quintet. Currently training with piano and violin duo Jaume ANGELO, Umbra Duo, another with cellist Laura Peribáñez and is a member of Ensemble Bärhof.
