I am the last square

Thursday 20 In March we will meet again at the Literary Café to talk about a book, this time, the novel I am the last square d'Alba Gómez Gabriel. Besides, the author will join the meeting via telematics.

I am the last square

We will meet at the usual time, the 19 hours.

Winner of the last Sant Joan Award, I am the last square it is a very human and very Barcelona story, very local and very universal at the same time. The book tells us about a group of neighbors, some "permanent" (if there is anything permanent in this world) and some temporary ones from Plaça del Sol, in the Barcelona neighborhood of Gràcia. It is a story of human relations and urban development. Profound changes in society and urban planning. Alba Gómez Gabriel, in this his first novel, he resorts to a polyphony of narrators to bring us all possible points of view.

We will also take advantage of the meeting to decide the title of the book that we will discuss in June.

We'll be lucky, on the other band, to count on participation, trough Internet, of the author.

Alba Gómez Gabriel (Sant Pere de Ribes, 1983) is a journalist with a degree in Literary Theory and Comparative Literature. He has been writing for fifteen years, especially as a journalist. In fact, has collaborated with media like Vilaweb, The Direct O cloud and has received some industry awards.
