Thursday 3 In April we invite you to a meeting with the writer Emma Zafón. It will be at the venue at 18.30.

Meeting with the writer Emma Zafón

He will present his novel to us Married and quiet, a work that portrays a generation of women who were given a single goal in life: get married and have children. In reality, But, this was nothing more than a form of oppression and, in fact, many lived by applying almost to the letter what the title says. Although the fiction created by Zafón is framed in the seventies, it is not difficult to find connections and parallels with the present day. The fellow writer Maria Climent has defined this novel as "A sentimental education that is also a denunciation of masculinity".

Taking advantage of the meeting with the writer Emma Zafón, we will be able to deal with many more topics in which he has specialized as a journalist and activist. For example, we can talk about feminism or feminisms, of social networks (where she is quite combative) or the political and social situation of the Valencian Country, which he has researched in depth.
