Description
The secret love monastery takes the reader into the heart of the 14th century and into the interiors of a monastery in Osona. Corre l’any 1378, one of the most turbulent years of medieval times, with the outbreak of the schism of the West and the devastating outbreak of the black plague. Two young monks meet in the monastery, intelligent and cultured: the doctor Galzeran de Monsingle and the translator and copyist Berenguer de Vallclara. They both come from wealthy families and both, too, they flee from a past they want to keep hidden. They must work together to translate Latin works of medical content and, without being able to avoid it, a great love attraction is born between them. He begins a struggle with his own religious conscience and the discipline of celibacy, but also his environment enters a process of upheavals and convulsions with dark family intrigues, ecclesiastical power ambitions, military attacks and kidnappings. The novel holds the reader's interest until the last page.
