Starting from completely trivial scenes, Pere Guixà introduces us, in his first book of stories, arguments and situations in which the narrative weight is not based on what the story seems to describe to us, but about something that hides under his skin, that forces the reader and involves him. His stories operate at the deepest stage of the argument, and offer the reader a territory in which the absence of an answer takes on a unique and original role. The author does not seem to understand the story as a closed circle in which everything can end up being justified and making sense, but rather like a straight line that is abruptly interrupted, with an extraordinary plot originality, unusual narrative effectiveness and expertise in construction that make a large part of the representations that he proposes to us permanently settle in the memory.
