Description

This novel introduces us, at two distant time points (some summer days of 1970 and the end of the year 2000), the leap from youth to adulthood. Under the apparent indifference of some young people who fulfill the procedure of the university militias in Castillejos, a story of friendship is woven into it, of loyalties and betrayal. Thanks to a skillful play of perspectives, the reader will piece together a story that seemed concluded. The action will return where the characters had stated a thousand times that they would never return. The passage of time will have modified the landscape and the protagonists will have acquired the density and thickness that only the passage of years gives. Solsona presents himself in this new work as a master in the two registers that have made him an inescapable voice in the panorama of the new Catalan narrative: the acid tone of DG and the intimate of Les hores denitedudes.
