The partners and supporters of the Catalan Center of Luxembourg want more theatre. This conclusion was one of the significant results of the survey we completed last year. Let it not be said that we have not rushed to resolve this request: Thursday 25 February, at 20.00 at the abbey of Neumünster, we will have the opportunity to attend the performance of the work Something unexpected death, d’Elvira Lindo and Borja Ortiz.
It is an activity co-organized with the Antonio Machado Cultural Circle. It has the sponsorship of the Spanish Embassy in Luxembourg and a helping hand from Neumünster Abbey.
This work presented by the Vania company is based on a novel of the same name by the writer and journalist Elvira Lindo (much more than the “mare” by Manolito Gafotas). The management is in charge of Catalan Joseph Maria Mestres, one of the most active in the Catalan scene. On top of the stage we will find the actors Juan Antonio Quintana, Carmen Ruiz, Esperanza Elipe and David Luque.
And what is the play about?? In fact, of ambition, desire and betrayal, of sex as an instrument to achieve success, of the creative world of writers (and the frustrations that go with it). According to its creators, it is a reflection on success in today's society.
