The Embassy of Spain in Luxembourg has issued the following statement in relation to the upcoming elections to the Parliament of Catalonia 28 November:
«On the occasion of the elections to the Parliament of Catalonia next 28 November, The Consular Service of this Embassy informs citizens of voting age registered in any municipality of Catalonia that the current electoral lists closed to 1 of September will be displayed on the bulletin board of the 11 to the 18 October. Citizens who consider their inclusion or exclusion in the census to be incorrect have that period to present the appropriate administrative claim at this Consular Office..
Voters residing in Luxembourg may cast their vote in this Consular Section no later than Sunday 21 November. You can also send it by certified mail no later than Saturday. 27 November (it is necessary to have a postmark with the date), following the instructions that you will find on the envelope with the electoral documentation that those registered will receive ex officio at their home by certified mail.
Voters residing in Catalonia who are temporarily abroad can request their vote in this Consular Section as long as they are registered as Non-Residents in the Consular Registration Registry.. Once the documentation has been received, they must send their vote by certified mail to the polling station no later than 24 November (it is necessary to have a postmark with the date).
The Consular Office will remain open during the following dates:
– Saturday 16 and sunday 17 October, from 10.00 a 14.00 hours, for list consultation.
– Saturday 30 October, from 10.00 a 14.00 hours, for the vote request of voters residing in Catalonia temporarily in Luxembourg.
– Saturday 20 and sunday 21 November, from 10.00 a 14.00 hours, for vote deposit.
