Wednesday 13 abril of them 19 hours, Cafè Literari readers will take part in an exchange to comment on the book The driver's son by Jordi Amat. It is tracta d’an initiative of the Club de Lectura del Círculo Antonio Machado, with whom we already collaborated a couple of years ago.
The driver's son researches and exposes the life and work of Alfons Quintà. Journalist, lawyer, judge and officer of the Merchant Navy, Quinta collaborated in various newspapers and media. Among the highlights of its history, he founded and directed TV3 and uncovered the Banca Catalana case. Finally, he 2016 he occupied covers after killing his wife and committing suicide.
Amat paints an uncompromising portrait of a wicked and obscure figure, a tormented and tormenting being. At the same time, it reveals to us how the web of power works: what we see and what goes on behind the scenes. Certainly, reading and commentary will lead to many topics.
