Angel Martinez i Buendía is an engineer, genealogist and passionate about family history. Born in Berga on 1964, has been engaged in genealogical research for over thirty years. He is currently a member of the governing board of the Catalan Genealogy Society, Heraldry, Sigilography, Vexillology and Nobility (SCGHSVN), with the position of head of social media and technology.

Since the year 2007 is part of the permanent seminar of paleography and diplomacy of the SCGHSVN. Besides, last year was one of the founding members of the Iberoamerican Society of Genealogy and History. His passion for discovering his family past has led him to train as a genealogist and paleographer. This has allowed him to know sources, specific tools and software to collect, gather and create family trees.
