Description
The Angel, no job and no girlfriend, decides to return to the neighborhood that saw him grow up. His lost paradise is the abandoned plots of Vallcarca and Carmel, where he played football, he fought with rival gangs and where they all exploded home-made carbide bombs. Those were the years when man set foot on the Moon and the hippies arrived in Ibiza. Thirty or forty years later, the panorama of the hills of Barcelona is another. Ángel resumes contact with what he calls "the survivors" and starts a relationship with a luxury prostitute who will make him cling to life again. David Castillo has written an intense novel, with episodes of fury and poetry, which is a living portrait of friendship, of love and of the Barcelona that doesn't appear in tourist guides.
