Wednesday 14 December at 19.30, Center Catalan Luxembourg, amb la col·laboració de l’Institut Francès, hosts a conference on teacher Mònica Güell philosopher Ramon Llull with the title: "The Book beasts of Ramon Llull, a mirror of Catalan princes ".
This year marks the’year Lull on the occasion of 700 anniversary of the death of the great writer, theologian, philosopher, mystic, Majorcan thinker and preacher from the Catalan Center we also wanted us to join the tribute. For this reason, we invited Mònica Güell, professora of the Sorbonne in Paris, to give us a lecture on this outstanding figure of the Catalan and European culture. Specifically,, Professor will speak Güell, French, one of the most popular works of Lull: he Book of Beasts.
Mònica Güell, with a solid training in the field of Romance philology, is a professor at the University of Paris-Sorbonne from 2009, where he directs, in addition, el Catalan Studies Center. Author of a long list of publications (incloses col·laboracions i revistes), part of CRIMIC (Interdisciplinary Research Center on Contemporary Iberian Worlds).
