Wednesday 10 December at 17.30, al local (88, Rue de la Semois; Luxembourg ville) we present, in collaboration with Friends of the Spanish Republic in Luxembourg (AREL), a play entitled Some time now. It was written by Max Aub and Esther Lázaro takes the stage, Therkas Theater Company.
Some time now is a monologue he wrote the Max Aub 1939. A devastating and overwhelming work, when Emma Blumenthal, a woman persecuted by the Nazis, Talk to your husband, assassination, and tells his horrifying experience, begins when Germany invaded Austria 1938. While cleaning the house that have expropriated, thinks his son, who died the same year in Barcelona.
This show has been seen, till now, Barcelona, Valencia, Madrid, Cordoba, Mallorca i Tenerife. Comes in Luxembourg as part of a tour of the Benelux and later can be seen in Germany.
Max Aub was born in Paris 1903, son of a French mother and German father, but lived in Valencia since I was eleven years. Socialist and Republican, he held various positions in the Government of the Republic during the Civil War. With the triumph of Franco was forced into exile, first in France and later in Mexico, where he died in 1972.
Esther Lázaro trained as a theater schools and Eòlia Action Theater. He holds a Master's Theater School and graduated in opera singing Conservatory of Terrassa. He has participated in all genres dramatic (text theater, opera, radioteatre) treptitjat and prestigious venues such as the Flower Market and the National Theater of Catalonia. It has also carried out tasks of theater production, drama, textual adaptation, assistant director and management. Is finishing a doctoral thesis.
