PARTICIPATING IN MUNICIPAL ELECTIONS IN LUXEMBOURG IS POSSIBLE AND INTERESTS EVERYONE.

What do councils do??
The number of municipal councilors assigned to each municipality is determined by grand-ducal regulation. It depends on the number of inhabitants of the municipality and is always odd. The people registered in the electoral census proceed to the direct election of the members of the communal council of their municipality of residence. Voters have as many votes as councilors make up the municipal council.
Municipal action includes the mandatory missions defined by the Constitution and the law: urban planning, water management, from waste, circulation, public roads, primary education, social assistance, others.
