Escriny Choir concert with Manel Camp

He 9 November, at six in the afternoon, we invite you to the concert of the Coral Escriny, with Manel Camp on the piano. The concert, which is titled Unheard of, will take place in the church of Sant Josep, old Limpertsberg (Rue Antoine Zinnen, L-2762 Luxembourg). It must be said that this concert is part of the Clavé year.

From the origin of the Western tradition, poetry, music and singing, coral o individual, they are intimately linked. For this reason, the choir has wanted to lend its collective voice to Catalan poets of all times and it has counted, for this adventure, with pianist Manel Camp. At the Escriny Choir concert you will find eleven prestigious Catalan poets, since the Middle Ages (Jordi de Sant Jordi, Ausias March) until the 20th century (ram, Foix, Riba), that speak to a universal theme: love. Coral Escriny

The Escriny Choir was born in Santpedor on 1968. They make it up 58 singers from different towns in central Catalonia. It stands out in both the classical and the modern repertoire. As for the collaborations, they have worked with several prestigious orchestras and musicians. He 2020, Unheard of it became a disc recorded by the choir and the composer of the work, Manel Camp, on the floor. Manel Camp

Manel Camp is a pianist, compositor i pedagogue. He was director of jazz and modern music at ESMUC (Higher School of Music of Catalonia) from 2001 a 2014.
