“Night of red wine” (1966) – “Most of Catalan cinema”

Thursday 2 in June 18.30 continues the cycle that the Filmoteca de Catalunya and the Cinémathèque de Luxembourg dedicate to the basic works of Catalan cinema. On this occasion it is projected Night of red wine (1966) José Maria Nunes.

With the continued motive of the search for communication by the two distressed protagonists, Nunes makes us share in many of the existential concerns of the young people who later starred in the May 68.

“This is not a political rebellion, something unthinkable in a Spanish film of that time, but of an attitude that connected with the dissatisfaction and existential angst of European youth at the time” (Joan Lorente Costa). Jacinto Esteva is the film's producer.
