Thursday 21 in January 18.30 we present a new conference via Zoom on historical memory. In this case, the title is "Franco's concentration camps and slave labor". The talk, by historian Oriol Dueñas, will be subtitled “Forced Worker Battalions (1938-1942)».
Linking to the talk on the International Brigades, we will talk about another rather little-known aspect of the contemporary history of Catalonia and Spain. Because everyone knows that Franco's repression was cruel, systematic and lasting, but some facts are gradually known even today. For this reason, we want to talk about the Francoist concentration camps and the many people sentenced to forced labor in the early years of the regime.
To participate in the conference, Catalan with Spanish interpretation, you need to write us an email at our usual address. we want to talk about the Francoist concentration camps and the many people sentenced to forced labor in the early years of the regime.
