26 January: projection of Looking at the sky (XVI Film Cycle)

Looking at the sky is a documentary with elements of fiction that travels through the bombings of Barcelona last year 1938, during the Spanish Civil War. Tape, directed by Jesus Garay, it makes a precise historical reconstruction dialogue with a striking fiction.

Mirant al cel

This fiction feature film grafting of documentary reconstructs, with vintage images and freshly filmed material, which was the first systematic bombardment of a large city. Especially, the explosion of a bomb on a trilite truck in front of the Coliseum cinema is explained, in Balmes-Gran Via. To do so is part of the impossible dialogue between two rivals: an Italian pilot on the national side and a Republican soldier in charge of the city's air defense.
